Switch2 is helping to develop a heat network with Adur Worthing Council. Fuelled by a marine source heat pump, together with combined heat and power (CHP), it will incorporate 2KM of underground pipeline to residents and businesses close by. Developed alongside the Smart Hub scheme, it incorporates a hybrid hydrogen/electric vehicle filling station, mesh networks for power management, a Virtual Power Plant and an innovative procurement framework to drive revenue generation from energy flexibility.
Our access to “big data” heat network analysis, ensures that we have the most up to date specific diversification information to ensure designs are at optimum size; avoiding capital costs and ongoing distribution costs, ultimately reducing tariffs for customers. Our experience in heat networks makes sure that a heat network by Switch2 is never oversized – we understand the pitfalls of this only too well.
