Switch2 unlocked: Open API

Unlock the potential of your PAYG systems with Switch2 third party access.

Introduction

For many years if you purchased a pay-as-you-go (PAYG) system then you only had one choice, the hardware vendor would do everything for the life of the metering system.

However, as the industry grows and develops you may want more choice and be keen to future-proof your billing service. This is where ‘third party access’ or ‘open access’ comes in.

What does this mean?

If you are installing Switch2 meters and PAYG systems you have an option to operate them yourselves or ask another metering and billing company to operate them for you.

What do I need to know?

Switch2 provides an Application Program Interface (API) that allows 3rd parties to operate the G6 or Incontro PAYG systems. You are free to make your own arrangements for billing and payment collection along with installation and maintenance of the metering system.

You can access our API here.

What does third party access mean?

It permits third parties, such as clients or their preferred service providers, access to operate Switch2 systems and services via an API or Web Browser Interface (web app).

How do you gain access?

If you have Switch2 PAYG equipment but would like this to be operated by yourselves or another metering & billing provider, please contact us so we can discuss the requirements and arrange access.

At Switch2 we make a success of heat networks by always putting the customer first.
