Switch2 scores hat-trick at The Energy Awards

Switch2 Energy has been shortlisted for a hat-trick of national energy awards in recognition of its 35-year contribution to the community and district heating industry.

The heat network specialist is a triple finalist in The Energy Awards – for the categories of Supplier of Year, Innovation, and Energy Data Collection and Analysis.

Switch2’s market leadership and customer service excellence in the district heating sector has been recognised in its selection for the ‘Supplier of the Year’ Award. The company has been chosen for its proven track record of delivering affordable, lower carbon, efficient and reliable communal heat schemes and its commitment to best practice.

The company’s design, manufacture and engineering excellence have won it a place on the shortlist for the Innovation and Data Collection and Analysis Awards.  Judges were impressed by the innovative new Switch2 Optimise solution, designed to deliver significant improvements in heat network performance. .

This involves remotely monitoring both metering and Building Energy Management (BEMs) across a portfolio of heat schemes via a smart portal. The remote connectivity gives Switch2’s engineers full visibility of system performance and the detailed insights required to improve operation and maintenance and to make costed recommendations where schemes are performing sub optimally.

The Energy Awards final will take place on Wednesday 5 December 2018 at the London Hilton.
